Every birthday is a gift.
When your child has faced cancer or another serious childhood illness, milestones that many families simply expect can carry a different kind of meaning.
This summer, Harper turns 13.
At the same time, Harper’s Home is entering a season of growth of its own. Construction is underway on our future campus, designed to provide nearby housing for families traveling to Durham for pediatric medical care.
What began as one family’s experience has grown into something bigger: a mission to help families stay close to care, close to comfort, and close to what matters most.
In honor of Harper’s birthday, we’re inviting our community to grow with us.
Growth is happening everywhere.
This summer, our gardens are blooming, Harper is preparing to celebrate her 13th birthday, and Harper’s Home is moving closer to welcoming families to our permanent campus.
Construction is well underway on Strebor Street, less than two miles from Duke Children’s Hospital. Families are already staying in our rental homes today, and every gift helps us continue building toward a future where more families can stay close to care during a child’s medical crisis.

Give in honor of 13.
Many supporters choose a gift inspired by Harper’s age:
$13
$130
$1,300
—or whatever feels meaningful to you.
Every gift helps Harper’s Home continue growing toward a future where more families have access to nearby, welcoming housing during some of the hardest chapters of their lives. Monthly recurring donations help sustain this work year-round.
